The Final Days of the Transformation Challenge


Cucumbers. That’s what I’m eating in this final week of the 6 week transformation challenge with MELT Workout’s Joe Carabase. This Monday before my final weigh-in on Thursday is a fast day. I’ve had some protein, water, cucumbers, and blueberries today as I try to really lean out over the next few days. Joe has me limited my intake of fruit and veggies right now and for the next few days I can’t snack on almonds and peanut butter.

As of this past Thursday and 5 weeks into the challenge, I’m down 13 pounds and 6% body fat, and I hope to improve upon that by weigh-in time. I had better. I need to take off my shirt and pose for that “after” pic! Tune in for that on Channel 3 Eyewitness News at 11PM on Thursday.

I’m fasting today, because Sunday I ate this:


It was a cheat meal, so I chose pizza. I didn’t go nuts, just had a couple of pieces and I didn’t have dessert. It’s a method Joe Carabase uses to shake up your metabolism to burn more fat.

Today, I worked out with Joe at MELT in Glastonbury and my abs were burning. I’ll be honest, I’ve not been a great student in the past 5 weeks. I’ve been working out and following Joe’s plan on his DVD and instructions, but due to kids home sick from school, a couple of out of state trips and work duties, I didn’t work out as often and as hard as I should have. Still, Joe says my results so far are impressive.


Will I look like Joe on Thursday? Nope, but I’m on my way to a leaner, stronger, me.
