Hillary Clinton came to town but didn’t grant any media interviews. Only one person got to ask questions of the former and potential future presidential candidate, and that person is on Face the State this Sunday morning.
UConn president Susan Herbst sat with Clinton on Wednesday, and asked the former secretary of state, senator and first lady some questions that came from the students.
On Sunday, you’ll see Herbst talk about the visit, and what Clinton had to say off camera. Who should the first woman elected president? Take our poll: https://dennishouse.tv/2014/04/23/if-not-clinton-then-who-could-be-the-first-woman-elected-president/
Also, a potential new candidate in the race for governor, read about that here: https://dennishouse.tv/2014/04/24/pelto-malloy-cant-win-in-november/ and our Face the State Flashback. This Sunday’s piece from archives is from the spring of 2004, when then Governor John Rowland was facing impeachment amid a corruption scandal. He got a break from negative media attention when a disaster handed him a chance to look gubernatorial. The piece you’ll see features Kara Sundlun and Jamie Roth. Tune in this Sunday at 11.
