An Historic Journalistic Undertaking

This week we learned some stunning news:  there was an assassination threat against Governor Malloy that came from a state worker.    It actually happened in June, but we only read about it on Monday, when the threat was first made public.

It is a big story, one that reporter Ted Mann had to sit on for 6 months.     Mann was embedded with the governor all year, under the condition anything he learned or witnessed must be embargoed until December when it would be printed for Hearst Newspapers in a series of 20 reports.

This week on Face the State, Mann talks about this  historic journalistic project that has been giving us unprecedented insight into Governor Malloy.      Mann traveled with the governor, knows how he feels about the media, his political opponents, whether he is happy in the job, and about those national aspirations that have been speculated about.    Mann also tells us about the night he spent in the Governor’s mansion.

Update:  here is the interview with Ted http://www.wfsb.com/video?autoStart=true&topVideoCatNo=default&clipId=6560902

CT Capitol Report has the links to Mann’s reports that have already been published and will post the upcoming ones.  www.ctcapitolreport.com
