The snow and rain tapered off just in time for annual tradition that brings thousands to the capital city. It was 38 degrees when the Hartford St. Patrick’s Day parade stepped off at the state capitol, featuring marchers and bands from Hartford and the suburbs.
It was so great to see so many familiar faces and make some new friends, too. There was so much creativity in the attire and so much talent shown by musicians and dancers.
This has been a favorite House family event for more than 20 years, and Kara and I took out our ancient sashes from 2005 when we had the great privilege of being honorees. Here are some photos I snapped today.
