It is billed as the biggest one day spectator event, the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day parade! It has been around since before the Civil War and attracts marchers from as far away as New York.
I’d been to this parade before, but this was my first year marching in it. My WTNH News 8 teammates and I headed down Chapel Street, past the historic buildings of Yale University and wrapped up across from City Hall and the New Haven Green.
The event was also broadcast on WTNH for those who couldn’t make it out. It was so great to see so many longtime viewers and familiar faces and it is always fun to meet new people. Here are few pictures I took. I will take more next year!!
