Connecticut’s international airport has certainly grown over the years, and is vastly different today than it was 50 years ago.
Here are some stills from a Channel 3 special titled “Not in My Backyard,” in which we looked at the expansion of Bradley Field into Bradley Airport. Sadly, there is no sound on the film I found in our archives, but we interviewed people from surrounding towns about plans to expand the airport.
Airline fans will love the now defunct carriers like Mohawk and others that once flew people in and out of Hartford.
