Dan Debicella & Sam Caligiuri on Face the State

Two Republicans seeking congressional seats in the 4th and 5th districts appeared on Face the State last month.   Normally our interviews are posted on wfsb.com the Monday following the broadcast.  Due to human error, the copy of the program used by our web folks to post “Face” was not made, and the other copy vanished.

Three weeks later, here are those interviews from our August 22nd broadcast.  Our apologies to Messrs.  Debicella and Caligiuri for the delay.   Again, it was simple human error and I’m sorry to disappoint those who wrote to me believing I was part of a liberal media plot to re-elect Congressmen Chris Murphy and Jim Himes.

  1. Across the country and in Fairfield County, most Americans opposed the healthcare bill. But Jim Himes didn’t hear us and voted yes.

The stimulus? Most of us didn’t want it. Himes didn’t listen. He voted yes.

Cap and trade? In Connecticut, most voters said no. In Washington, Jim Himes voted yes.

End the secret ballot in union elections? Again, his constituents said no. Jim Himes voted yes.

If Jim Himes does not listen to you, then you should know that you are not alone. By a wide margin, voters across the country and in Fairfield County oppose the Nancy Pelosi and Jim Himes’ position on the issues. If you want to send Jim Himes a message that he can hear, you can support his opponent, Dan Debicella, here: https://debicella.blue-swarm.com/donate.

Jim Himes can’t hear us. On November 2nd, let’s turn up the volume.

    • Mr DeMouth may not have noticed that the article was not about Dibicella, but rather the 5th district race. Is’nt this the same cut and paste response that has appeared on dozens of blogs, and now is copied to letters to the editors of local papers?

Congressman Chris Murphy has travelled this district listening and responding to individual voters needs. Sam Caligiuri has spent his time in Hartford, voting no on just about everything in a show of ‘in the nose leadership’ blindly following the Republican mantra
