I was disgusted to hear the chief librarian say that it was o.k for ppl to look at porn in a public library! That woman should be relieved of her job. I don’t live in Hartford but if that was allowed in our library which truthfully I don’t know if it is or not, I would like not but if one of my small kids walked by that computer and came to me and told me what they saw I would be horrified and guess what I would do, sue the town,the library and the ppl in charge. So if you interview that crazy woman again you should ask her is it worth a lawsuit? So sick

After watching the interview and reading the reports, there is only one solution: Ms. Blalock needs to resign NOW. She puts in jeopardy not only the safety of her own staff, but also Hartford residents that visit the Library with legitimate purposes. She should not be allowed to manage a Library and the Board needs to break her despotic behavior and sense of immunity. If she earns more money than the Major himself, she should at least work public areas and not hide in the Administrative offices. I know many Library directors who do that and get a sense of Library operations. She cannot impose any policies if she is so out of touch of what really goes on in the Library. Please, PLEASE, something needs to be done NOW, Ms. Blalock needs to leave NOW. Let’s not wait for a tragedy to occur.
