$1 Million Raised, 8 Thousand Women Helped

Coronavirus means the 15th annual Capital Catwalk to benefit Dress for Success Hartford had to be virtual. Kara Sundlun has been emceeing this event since its inception along with a great group of volunteers who set out to help women re-entering the workforce. Dress for Success finds clothing for women and helps them perfect their image as they apply for jobs an go on interviews.

This just in: since this began, the Capital Catwalk has raised $1,000,000 and outfitted 8 thousand women! Wow!

Over the years the Capital Catwalk fashion show has featured leading names from the community, and some of your Channel 3 favorites including Denise D’Ascenzo and Scot Haney. We miss Denise terribly, so this year’s show was dedicated to her. Watch it here:

Also, I will be back next year and here’s hoping Covid is under control and we can have an in-person Capital Catwalk. If you would like to donate, you can do so here. Every dollar helps! https://hartford.dressforsuccess.org/get-involved/donate/
