Tuesday’s wild weather left its mark all over the state, with trees blocking roads, knocking down power lines, damaging homes and crushing at least one car.   One of the homes hit by a tree belongs to former Congressman Rob Simmons in Stonington.

Simmons posted this on Facebook: “Last night a line storm hit us in Stonington and toppled this Norway Maple on our house. Fortunately Heidi and dodged away at the last moment but Roxane ran off and did not return until 2 in the morning. Wild night!”
