The thoughts of Whaler nation have been on Gordie Howe lately. The Hall of Famer and Hartford legend known as “Mr. Hockey,” suffered a serious stroke last month and is recovering with his family in Texas.
As we all pray for a speedy recovery, we are focusing this week’s Face the State flashback on the man who made history wearing the blue and green. This Sunday, we aired some rare interview footage from the WFSB archives and clips of Howe’s induction into the Whalers Hall of Fame.
