Himes Gets a Challenger

4th District Congressman Jim Himes has his first challenger, Republican David Orner of Darien.   The former naval intelligence officer and businessman announced his candidacy today, and appeared for a taping of Face the State tonight.    It’s been reported at least one other Republican may run for the nomination.

Himes is coming off a big win last November, in a year that was supposed to a Republican one.   Orner told me the landscape has changed since then and he is confident the GOP can take back the seat held by Republican Chris Shays for two decades.

You can tune in this Sunday at 11AM on Face the State, only on Channel 3.
