One of Denise D’Ascenzo’s first stories at WFSB was a big one. She interviewed legendary actor Paul Newman about his desire to open a camp for children. Newman was a Hollywood star but proudly called Connecticut home.

This interview was conducted in October of 1986, at Newman’s home.   It first aired as a prime-time special.
