The five Democrats seeking the nomination for the senate seat held by Senator Joe Lieberman are set to debate this morning, their third televised debate this spring. The debate will be seen at 11 AM, during a special hour-long, commercial free edition of “Face the State,” on WFSB. It will also be live streamed on wfsb.com
Interest in a debate between Susan Bysiewicz, Chris Murphy, William Tong, Lee Whitnum, and Matthew Oakes has increased ever since Whitnum made headlines in the first debate, when she referred to Murphy as a “whore” for his stance on Israel. In fact, the group “Connecticut Zionists for Israel,” announced Friday it will demonstrate outside the WFSB studios later this morning.
The debate will be moderated by the host of Channel 3’s Face the State, Dennis House and will feature questions from two panelists: Angela Dias of WTIC radio, and Brian Lockhart of Hearst Newspapers.
One week from today the Republicans will debate on WFSB, the first televised GOP debate of the campaign season.
You can watch the debate at 11AM on WFSB, Channel 3.
