Reason #851 to Drive a Buick Roadmaster

Reason #851 to drive a Buick Roadmaster? They can last a very, very long time. When I was selling my first Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon at 155,000 miles a mechanic said to me “ don’t get rid of it. This beauty is just getting broken in.” I’ve met a few Roadmaster owners over the years who have more than 200K miles on them, but an Auto Trader ad in North Carolina raises the bar.

423,000 miles! This station wagon certainly has put its work in, and doesn’t look all that bad considering it was driven above the national average for annual miles. Only $2500!

By the way, my second Roadmaster wagon just hit 65,000 miles. Just a baby.

Here’s the ad for the Roadmaster: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=482155051&zip=06105&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D06105%26startYear%3D1981%26maxMileage%3D200001%26sortBy%3DmileageASC%26incremental%3Dall%26firstRecord%3D0%26endYear%3D2019%26modelCodeList%3DBUICKROAD%26makeCodeList%3DBUICK%26searchRadius%3D0&startYear=1981&numRecords=25&firstRecord=0&endYear=2019&modelCodeList=BUICKROAD&makeCodeList=BUICK&searchRadius=0&makeCode1=BUICK&modelCode1=BUICKROAD
