This Sunday the national champion UConn Huskies men’s and women’s basketball teams will be honored at a huge parade through downtown Hartford. This month also marks the tenth anniversary of the state’s only other dual championship march.
In 2004, an estimated 300,000 people turned out for the parade, which the Hartford Courant reported to be the biggest gathering in the city since the end of World War II. Will this year’s attendance be bigger?
On Face the State this Sunday we will ask Mike Zaleski of the Hartford Business Improvement District, the organization handling the parade. He will also have the very latest on the best places to park, and dining tips. Tune in Sunday at 11.
