I want to thank every one who came out to celebrate my 50th birthday at Hartford City Hall. Roughly 250 people helped raise money for Interval House, which helps women suffering from domestic abuse. I had an awesome time!

I want to personally thank Interval House for hosting the event, Kristin Beth Ferris of the Ferris Group for organizing it, Salute for the food, Peel Liqueurs for donating the signature drink “the House-tini,” Winam Wines and Spirits for the beer and wine, Demers Events and Expo for the tables and chairs, Patty Cakes for the amazing cake, Five Diamond Productions for the photo booth, CT Capitol Report for ad space, and Latanya Farrell for her rendition of Happy Birthday. My kids also sang and I am looking for video of that!

My wife Kara Sundlun also coordinated the festivities and the guests included my friends from across Connecticut, Channel 3 and other television stations, ESPN, the Courant, the political world and the list goes on.
