These are days of dark clouds over the state capitol. Federal investigators looking into allegations of corruption in the case of former speaker of the house Chris Donovan in 2012, are now focused on new suspicions. George Gallo, chief of staff to the House Republicans, resigned this week after admitting he was a person of interest. Where does the case go from here? This week on Face the State, we get insight on the case, from the man who broke the story, Hartford Courant columnist Kevin Rennie, author of the site, Daily Ructions.
Rennie also updates on the grand jury investigation that could present new problems for former Governor John Rowland.
Also weighing in on the capitol investigation is Mark Pazniokas of the Connecticut Mirror, who also talks about the race for governor and explains why Governor Malloy has been coy about his re-election plans.
