Downtown Hartford has come a long way since Kara and I lived here back in the early years of the century, but so many things remain unchanged, like historic Bushnell Park. It is the nation’s oldest public park and dates back to before the Civil War.

During a recent hike there we took in the sights and met a dachshund owned by a newcomer to Hartford.
