We began October on Sunday the first by talking about the new laws going into effect, particularly when it comes to driving and highway safety. DOT Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto as our guest. We were also joined by Democratic candidate for mayor in Wallingford Riley O’Connell and West Haven Mayoral Candidate Dorinda Borer.
The following week on October 8th we talked about the House Speaker Chaos and the race for CT-5 with Congresswoman Jahana Hayes. Also the movie “Justice on Trial” came to Madison and Justice Lubbie Harper and Bill Doherty Madison joined us. In a really fun segment I talked with the COO of the City of Hartford Thea Montanez about the citys new mindfulness mission we discussed USA Soccer at the Rent with Jake Fenner of the Daily Mail. Jake is a native of Tolland and in town to cover the match.
On October 16th, we brought you an emotional conversation with the family of fallen Bristol Police Sergeant Alex Hamzy. I sat down with his wife Katie Hamzy, sister Donna Hamzy Carroccia and best friend Nate Leger. It was one of the hardest interviews I’ve ever done, but I found all of them to be strong and inspirational.
On October 23rd we talked about “Make it Here,” state’s mantra to attract new businesses and people to our state and to make people who live here feel better about the Constitution State. We interviewed the state’s chief marking officer Anthony Anthony, Governor Ned Lamont, and Economic Development Commissioner Alexandra Baum.
Also on This Week in Connecticut we interviewed Tony Cashman of the Cashman Katz ad agency in Glastonbury. Tony revealed some great information about the failed deal to bring the Patriots to Hartford in 1999 and gave some entrepreneur advice as his company celebrates 30 years in business. Rounding out the program was an interview with Nathan Schacter, a West Hartford native now working in Jerusalem, and Republican candidate for mayor of Wallingford, Vinny Cervoni.

Mr. House,
I’ve seen you at fine fettle for a story. Is there anyway you can do some kind of comparison how medical changed since “adult use”was legalized.
As a patient of the medical marijuana program I HAVE SEEN ALOT OF CHANGES. I know people from their 20’s- to the mid 90’s that have the card and they seen the changes too.
. Gov. Lamont swore up and down that it WOULD NOT CHANGE, granted the $100 fee was waived, but why has it gotten MORE EXPENSIVE AND LOWER presentage. Rarely can I get over 30% whereas before you could.
Drs.feel that it will benefit me and others, I do know that the bigger the THC the more it helps. I do it to help with my seizures and other things. I don’t go to get “stoned and stupid” I don’t want to drop and flop.
Thank-you,
Mike C
