Rain didn’t damper enthusiasm or turnout for the 2nd annual Denise D’Ascenzo Foundation walk to fight rare diseases to benefit NORD, the National Organization for Rare Disorders. Once again, the beautiful campus of Quinnipiac University served as the backdrop and the course of the mile walk.

The foundation’s mission: supporting advances in medicine and health, promoting responsibility in the media, and assisting those facing physical and mental challenges, while encouraging openness, courage and kindness in all endeavors.
