We couldn’t have asked for a better day for the very first Denise D’Ascenzo Foundation golf tournament, held at the Wethersfield Country Club on Tuesday. Golfers from all over, including employees of four Connecticut television stations, came to help raise money for the foundation, which helps support a variety of causes that were near and dear to Denise.

I’m honored to serve as foundation president, and I want to thank the members of the foundations board of directors and volunteers for putting this together. Of course, this would be possible without the hard word and dedication of Denise’s family, her husband Wayne and daughter Kathryn. Heartfelt thanks to the sponsors and donors.

We know look forward to our next big event, the gala on May 13th. Save the date!!
