Inaugural DDF Walk to Cure Rare Diseases

“Be open, be brave, be kind,” was the advice given to the graduating class of Quinnipiac University back in 2013 by Denise D’Ascenzo when she delivered the commencement address. We thought of those words as we gathered on campus to support the foundation that now bears her name.

It was spectacular sunny day in Hamden as more than 200 people for the first ever Denise D’Ascenzo Foundation Walk to Cure Rare Diseases. All proceeds went to the National Organization for Rare Disorders, a cause very near and dear to Denise.

If you couldn’t make it, you can still support the foundation right here http://www.thedenisefoundation.org and follow us on social media to learn more about future events. We have a golf tournament coming up on September 20th, and we will be announcing plans for our gala very soon.

Special thanks to our awesome sponsors of the walk!
