The first and perhaps only Connecticut U.S. Senate debate is in the record books, taking place Sunday during an hour-long Face the State on WFSB. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D) and State Representative Dan Carter were asked about subjects ranging from the economy to abortion. You can watch the entire debate at the link below.
We also asked the candidates who from Connecticut they would recommend to the next president as a potential Supreme Court nominee. Blumenthal suggested U.S. Attorney Deirdre Daly, saying she has the experience and credentials. Carter dodged the question and instead talked about what kind of justice should be picked.

Our rapid fire segments at the end of WFSB debates also churn out a fascinating nugget of information. Who was the best U.S. senator in Connecticut history? Blumenthal said Abe Ribicoff, Carter said Joe Lieberman.
