This week the Hartford Yard Goats announced they will play some of their home games at Dodd Stadium in Norwich, until Dunkin’ Donuts Park in Hartford is completed.   This Sunday in our Face the State flashback, we took you back to the grand opening of the Dodd.

Mika Brzezinski, now of Morning Joe on MSNBC, covered the big day for WFSB on April 17, 1995.  All sorts of dignitaries were there,  including Senators Joe Lieberman and Chris Dodd, and the alligator who served as as the mascot for the Norwich Navigators.
