Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred made it quite clear UConn president Susan Herbst has plenty of explaining to do about claims of rapes and sexual assaults at the state’s flasgship university. During a taping of Face the State set to air Sunday on WFSB Hartford, Allred laid out the civil rights case against UConn.

Allred told me she is looking forward to the public hearings on the allegations that several women were raped or sexually assaulted and the university did nothing to protect them. She also praised Governor Malloy for taking on the issue.

Allred was accompanied by her co-counsel, New Haven attorney Nina Pirrotti. President Herbst has been invited to come on Face the State.
