Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani told me tonight someday we’ll be able to let our guard down about terrorism, but not anytime soon. The man known as America’s mayor is in our neck of the woods because of his law firm in downtown Hartford, Bracewell Giuliani.
In a return visit to our studios, Giuliani talked with me about the arrest of Faisal Shahzad, the man charged with the botched bombing in Times Square. Shahzad was living in Shelton and Bridgeport and his neighbors remain shocked at the sinister plan that may have been hatched in their neighborhood.
Giuliani told me terrorists can live anywhere, and agrees with Senator Lieberman that Connecticut is a perfect place for terrorists to set up shop because of our proximity to Manhattan.
My interview with Mayor Giuliani airs tonight at 11 on Channel 3 Eyewitness News

For some silly reason I had thought when I moved back to my home state, I’d feel safer than I did living in NY. I lived 45 min. from NYC, used to see the Twin Towers everytime I went over the Tappan Zee Bridge. I was at work the day the Towers were hit.
I’m sorry Dennis, I’ll watch you tonight until the interview comes on, then change the channel. I’m not saying it’s Mayor Giuliani’s fault, but I can’t watch him. I don’t feel safe around him even if it’s on T.V.
