Our Christmas Tree 2025

The holidays are about traditions, and one that our family celebrates every year is our trip to DzenTree Farm in South Windsor to select and cut down our Christmas Tree.

We’ve been coming here since 2000 when Kara and I got our first tree together, chopped down in a snow storm. John and Jen Dzen, the masterminds behind this amazing operation, still have that picture hanging in the checkout booth.

In addition to the plentiful Fraser firs, the reindeer are also a big attraction. Rudy and Belle are the only reindeer from Connecticut and they are beautiful. This year the Dzens have added Gio’s pizza and Dude’s Donuts, both from Glastonbury and there are lots of items in the gift shop as well. Look for the giant Santa!
