About a thousand people filled the ballroom at the Connecticut Convention Center at Adriaen’s Landing in Hartford for the annual Connecticut Children’s gala. The theme was “Encanto,” the Disney movie and the entertainment matched the theme perfectly.

We saw many friends and made some new ones. Among the gala guests; UConn coach Dan Hurley, two of the voices from Encanto, and many civic and business leaders.

Kara and I also learned a great deal about the hospital. Did you know it treated 131,000 children last year? Demand has been so great, the hospital is building a new 8-story tower next to current iconic building. Proceeds from the gala went to the Connecticut Children’s Foundation.
