Sharks, Hackers and Back to School

News that sharks were scaring off fish in Connecticut waters of Long Island Sound made news this week. It’s not exactly the summer of Jaws, but these brown sharks were taking some sizable bites out of fish. This week on This Week on Connecticut we talk to one of the world’s leading shark experts about this, and about great whites too.

Dr. Greg Skomal is a Connecticut native who now spends his time studying the shark that instills fear in so many people. Great White sharks are growing in population off the coast of the Cape, so much so that few people go swimming and surfers are few and far between.

I think you’ll find our conversation fascinating and educational.

Also Sunday we talk with the CEO of West Hartford based Evernet http://www.evernetco.com about cyber attacks. The recent attack on the city of New Haven cost taxpayers millions and Eric Buhrendorf has an interesting take on how it happened and how it should have been prevented. Also how you can protect yourself.

Plus, we talk back to school with the Reverend AJ Johnson, who created “Calling All Brothers,” which helps welcome students back to school in Hartford. I take part every year and it is a worthwhile program.

See you Sunday morning at 10 on This Week in Connecticut on WTNH.
