The flooding we saw this past week in Connecticut and in Vermont was devastating and shocking to see for so many, but for the weather team at WTNH it wasn’t all that surprising. Our team had predicted rivers and streams would overflow their banks, and they’ve been warning about an increase over time in the types of weather that could trigger flooding.
Sunday morning at 10 on This Week in Connecticut on WTNH we will get some answers and perspective from the director of the Connecticut Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security Bill Turner and News 8 meteorologist Joe Furey.
Also Sunday we hear from Bristol Mayor Jeff Caggiano about a major project, and Attorney General William Tong on serious allegations about shuttered Stone Academy.
On Sunday you’ll also meet West Hartford teacher Eric Feeney, and learn about his amazing charity Friends of Feeney.
Plus we take you on a fun ride in an iconic car that is now sold in Connecticut: the Fiat Jolly.
I invite you to join me Sunday morning at 10 on WTNH.
