One person dies every 36 seconds in the United States from cardiovascular disease. About 655,000 Americans die from heart disease each year—that’s 1 in every 4 deaths.
That’s why Kara Sundlun, Geno Auriemma, Richard Blais and I have teamed up to help raise money for the American Heart Association here in Connecticut. I’ll also be sharing some remembrances of Denise D’Ascenzo, who was very involved in helping promote heart health.
