It may not be quite this archaic, but the systems at the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles are old, really old.  Commissioner Andres Ayala told me the computer system dates back 40 years, so finally it is a time for an overdue overhaul.

For one week in August, the DMV will shut down and modernize.   Will it help reduce the wait time at license renewal time?  What about new registrations?  Tune in this Sunday for Face the State at 11AM on WFSB Channel 3.
