This week a judge ordered that convicted killer Michael Skakel be granted a new trial in the death of his childhood neighbor back in 1975. Martha Moxley was bludgeoned to death in the posh Belle Haven neighborhood of Greenwich, and more than a quarter century later, Skakel was arrested, stood trial, and was convicted in 2002.
The case has made national news for decades, and the trial was a media circus. This week on Face the State, we are joined by two former prosecutors who worked on the Skakel case, now in private practice. Former Chief State’s Attorney Chris Morano and former assistant state’s attorney Ryan McGuigan both believe Skakel is guilty, but expressed concerns about prosecutors getting a second guilty verdict.
They also have an interesting theory they believe the defense may use.

Yes,me skakel deserve a new trial because the state violated his rights to be free of cruel and unusual punishment for no letting him grandfather that year law and dea wasn’t around back then and today’s technology would find him guilty or not.Everyone should be allowed to fight there case always because it’s just not right to send a innocent person to jail for any amount of time.

Yes, evidence was upheld that would / could cause reasonable doubt.

Correct,at not time should evidence be withheld,the prosecuting authority should be investigated for hiding such evidence.
