Rival Democrats Richard Blumenthal and Merrick Alpert met tonight in the name of charity.    Blumenthal and Alpert along with Republican Peter Schiff and independent John Mertens all appeared as models for the Capital Catwalk fashion show at the Hartford Stage.   The even benefits Dress for Success Hartford.

The last time the Blumenthal and Alpert were  together was a  debate in early March.     Alpert has been criticizing  Blumenthal for his refusal to have another debate.
