Halloween at the Houses

1649

My kids love music, and their penchant for performers will be quite evident on Halloween. My daughter is going out as Katy Perry, and my son as Adam Levine, and yes, they chose the costumes.

Kara did a great job transforming Julian’s toehead blonde hair to a dark Maroon 5 mahogany using her mascara brush, and Helena will be sporting a blue wig. A friend had an early Halloween party a few weeks ago, so we got to try out the new looks.

Children’s brains are like sponges and the pick up things very quickly. My daughter knows the lyrics of Perry’s “Firework,” and “Roar,” and my son can easily belt out “I want to love somebody.”

Their costumes remind me of the time I went out as Bart Simpson, and years before that, Mr. Spock.

By the way, I built that stage for them and Kara made the curtain.
