Forty years ago this month, Channel 3 became WFSB, so we’re running some old video of a newscast from the week we transformed from our original call letters of WTIC to our current ones. In the clip you’ll see below, meteorologist Ken Garee uses the most modern weather forecasting technology available in 1974. It’s amazing how far we’ve come. It goes without saying that all members of the Channel 3 weather team needed to have perfect penmanship, if for no other reason than to divert attention away from those Nixon-era haircuts.
